Jenna Loren is a passionate singer songwriter originally from Peterborough, Ontario, who loves to perform, whether on stage for hundreds or busking on a busy city sidewalk.  She has been singing and rocking out on her guitar since she was just 13 years old.  With over 50 originals, Jenna’s compositions are full of rhythmic intensity, disjointed cadences, and her phrasing is just right. Ear-candy-esque, her lyrics are poetic and shout to be heard, opening up the hearts and minds of listeners. Jenna is now promoting her brand new independent 6-song EP “It's Perfect Timing,” now available on iTunes. Produced by well-known Victoria B.C. drummer Jason Cook, this EP exerts the same quality and professionalism as his previous works with Vince Vaccaro and Steph Macpherson. In January 2011, Jenna's single "You Can't Give Up" was released to all contemporary hit radio stations across Canada. It became one of eight successful songs chosen for the RocKIN the Peace compilation CD, and Jenna was one of the eight contestants chosen to perform at the RocKIN the Peace concert in Fort St. John in March 2011. As a result, Jenna has been asked to play several gigs around Fort St.John, including opening for Prairie Oyster's lead singer, Russell DeCarle at The Lido.

In the past, Jenna has performed on two national television shows, The New Canoe's songwriting episode with Kinnie Star and Art Napoleon in 2007 (aired on A-Channel, CHUM, and APTN), and also performed on MYTV in 2009 (aired on APTN). Jenna has also performed live on CFUV (101.9 FM) radio and her music has been played on several other radio stations from Peace FM (94.5 or 104.1 FM) to IndieHeart's Eclectic Acoustic Station. In August 2010, it was announced that several of Jenna's songs will be featured on the soundtrack of an upcoming movie, "By The Time You Read This," based on the novel "The King of Hearts" written by Vancouver Island's own Connie Lentz.

In 2005 Jenna independantly released her debut album, "Overabundantly" with the help of long-time Victoria singer songwriter and accountant Kevin Woodward. Launched in May 2010, Jenna's "Andrew" song was included on the Feed the Soul vol.2 Compilation CD, organized by local musicians and Fresh Cup Café (Sidney, BC) manager, Jim Townsend,  as a fundraiser for the local food bank. Jenna recently performed at the famous Butchart Gardens alongside fellow musicians on the compilation CD to help support the cause.

As an advocate for social and environmental justice, Jenna often expresses her views through her songs.  In high school, Jenna played a key role in the creation of the No Sweatshop Policy for her school district, and fundraised for an electric generator to provide power for a school in Sierra Leone. In 2009, Jenna graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria in Geography and Environmental Studies. Throughout her degree, Jenna received applause from several of her professors when they learned of her efforts to spread the word on environmental issues through her music.

Jenna hopes to continue networking and building connections to have her music heard both in the west coast and throughout Canada.  She is currently planning a national tour for 2011.
